The zipfile is not just the schema, its a replacement for the whole upload?

Yes, it has all the data + schema of the entire upload

Already uploaded the zipped file in my personal account but not published yet. Not quite sure how to handle authors and DOI of the current and the old upload

Looks good to me. Can be merged.

Do we really need to replace the upload, i.e. do the raw files have to change?

@mscheidg the original upload of wZzlkn24S-a8O1s33owOOg has to be updated entirely as both schema and the raw files were problematic, but the other three (uploadIds:qegdLWpzQ7yAFmYikFNydg, xZSxmG27Tu62xHRwKVNjsQ and fDBPMvdvThi3XYPWasStfQ) should be fine with a simple reprocessing.
