Discussion about the use of the ellipsis button (3 dots) to access entries
After discussing with several users and developers in nomad, I wanted to raise the discussion about using the ellipsis button (three dots) to access the entry page or navigate to the data within an entry. At the moment, this is not intuitive enough and one would expect different behavior from it from the UX perspective.
Within an upload, when clicking the three dots one would expect to uncollapse the entry information instead of navigating into the entry as shown in this screenshot. The uncollapsing occurs when clicking in the area of the row. IMO, replacing the three dots with an explicit "GO TO ENTRY" or "GO TO DATA" button might improve the UX. Alternatively, an arrow pointing towards the right side might also help.
This would apply to the results table, the table within an upload, and also the overview card in the entry to navigate to the data.
