How to run unit tests on the command line?

Before creating a merge request, I'd like to run the test suite to make sure there are no regressions.

Unfortunately "python setup.py test" doesn't do anything helpful, and I'm not familiar enough with Python projects to run the tests completely by hand.

Could the testing procedure please be documented in README.md?

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
